Evolved Art Gallery Pee Wee Herman Tribute Exhibition will Feature Signed Prints by Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole

๐Ÿค– The word of the day is “EVOLVED”ย because I am totally geeking outย ๐Ÿค“ while signing and packaging up these giclee prints of my “Its Gonna Be That Kind Of Morning” pencil and colored pencil art piece.

They are headed to California and will be available for purchase at the Evolved Art Gallery during their “I Know You Are But What Am I?” art exhibition in tribute to the legendary world of Pee Wee Herman.

As you all know I have been a huge fan of Pee Wee Herman/Paul Reubens since I was a little girl. I am literally surrounded by his movie posters and 80s playhouse toys in my living room as I type this out. My art piece as well as my tattoo of him are even featured on his website. What you may not know is after drawing this art piece my husband and I traveled to a convention in Indy to meet and gift it to him. Unfortunately he had to cancel his appearance. The following year I purchased tickets for us to meet him during his big Pee Wee’s Big Adventure Anniversary Tour but due to COVID lock downs he was forced to cancel his last two shows, and Chicago happened to be one of them.

Then the worst news possible shook the playhouse with his passing and now the art piece sits framed in red still in the gift bag I was going to give to him along with a card expressing the ways he positively impacted my childhood and the wacky loner rebel that I am today. So in other words this piece is as sentimental to me as Pee Wee’s bike ๐Ÿšฒ was to him and I did not want to risk it getting lost in the mail. The gallery owner Christina was impressed by my work and felt it really aligned and reflected the love and passion she is looking for in this special tribute exhibition so she suggested another way for my work to be a part of the show and I immediately said “AHHHHH!” (in my best Pee Wee voice) and got a hold of my printer.

So if you will be in California from July 11th – August 30th, 2026 be sure to bring your inner child to the Evolved Art Gallery in Ventura and check out the free and open to the public “I Know You Are But What Am I?” art exhibition in tribute to the wonderfully weird world of a true legend. There you will find my signed prints available to purchase at the gallery.

And if you are new here, be sure to check out the Creature Features page of my portfolio website. There you can find this exhibition listed amongst some of the other unique places my art has been featured over the years.

And if you are interested in showcasing my work, let’s connect, chat and make some magic together!

Closet Collectibles Art Drop and Restock Alert ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

0

Earlier this week, I made the announcement that my Etsy Shop was updated, post the Unruly Art Market. Some of you were quick to get your orders in and were able to snatch up some of my new and even older creations! So I thank you for that and am in the process of boxing and getting your orders ready for shipment this week.

Yesterday, I made the trip to Closet Collectibles for my post show art drop and restocked and rearranged my Cabinets of Curiosities for all of my in-store art collectors*! You’ll notice quite a few pieces are gone because they sold, but I have also added new creations, restocked my 8×10″ canvas prints with a ton that have never been available at the shop before and even added new 4×6″ canvas prints with easel stands that are not currently available online!

So be sure to take a moment to disconnect from the millionaire-supporting online shopping experience and AI slop in your feed by getting out of the house and supporting this small business in Crete IL., and exposing yourself to both my human, one-of-a-kind collectible art (located in their horror themed room) and all the amazing collectible nostalgia their store shelves have to offer! I promise you will thank me later! Everyone always does! ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ›โœจ๏ธ

Etsy Update Alert ๐Ÿ‘€ Get Your Claws On The Remains! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

1

First off, thank you again to everyone who came out and purchased a piece of my artwork at the Unruly Art Market on Sunday. It was so great to see so many of my creations find new homes with amazing art collectors.

This update is to let my online shoppers know that I have finally “dug”๐ŸงŸโ€โ™€๏ธ through what’s left of my inventory from the show and have taken the time to list every piece that is still available for purchase in my Etsy Shop

So if last week you were reading all my new creation updates on here and were bummed that you couldn’t make it out, or if you didn’t have enough cash on hand at the show, now is your chance to get your claws on the “remains.”๐ŸงŸโ€โ™€๏ธ

Make sure to act fast before I make my Closet Collectibles art drop this weekend. Once that drop happens, these unique pieces will also become available to my art collectors who like to do in-store shopping* from my Cabinets of Curiosities at the shop. Which means you will have more claws to compete against if you want to add them to your collection. As always, each of my creations are handmade and never mass produced* which makes them one-of-a-kind. So in other words, once they are gone they are gone for good. So go get you some!

Weird Professional Zine No. 2 Features “Walk On The Wild Side”Artwork By Living Dead Girl Nicole ๐Ÿ‘พโœจ

If you enjoyed seeing me and so many talented LinkedIn ‘weirdlings’ ๐Ÿ‘พ featured in the debut issue of the Weird Professional Zine, then you are really going to enjoy what everyone has compiled for Issue No. 2. Not only is there more content than the debut issue, but the zine has sponsors now as well.

For this issue, we were encouraged to design our own page(s), and apparently mine is instantly recognizable because, as so many people have told me, my โ€˜branding is on point.โ€™ I guess my 15 years of marketing experience finally has its benefits for something on LinkedIn. Now if only those skills could pay the bills and their platform would actually help me land a legit job. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

For my submission I decided to use my “Walk On The Wild Side” portrait I did of Howie Mandel and Maurice from Little Monsters. I felt it really encapsulates the strange fun vibe of the literary mag. Ironically I had submitted my page months prior to getting invited to Howie’s show and getting to meet him, so the universe really was aligned with this one and apparently my intuition was on point as well.

Weird Professional Magazine Issue 2

Here is a how my finished page looks published in the zine….

Weird Professional Magazine Living Dead Girl Nicole Feature

๐Ÿ‘€ Be sure to give the online version of the whole zine a look through and discover all the weird and wonderful things everyone submitted. It will be available on Flipbook (for 1 year) and you can also purchase a print copy (pre-orders are open until June 1st) as well.

๐Ÿคฉ A big shoutout to our Fellowship Of The Weird Editor-in-Chief, Ambra Hubert ๐Ÿฆ„ for continuing to make this literary magazine possible and for giving all of us โ€˜weirdlingsโ€™ ๐Ÿ‘พ a platform to express ourselves without judgment!

Being a part of unique projects like this is exactly why I love sharing my work publicly.

If you don’t want to miss the fun ways my artwork is being featured be sure to subscribe here (it’s free) and bookmarking the Creature Features page of my portfolio website. And if you are interested in showcasing my work in your next publication, exhibition, or creative venture let’s connect and start making some magic together!
