Weird Professional Zine No. 2 Features “Walk On The Wild Side”Artwork By Living Dead Girl Nicole 👾✨

0

If you enjoyed seeing me and so many talented LinkedIn ‘weirdlings’ 👾 featured in the debut issue of the Weird Professional Zine, then you are really going to enjoy what everyone has compiled for Issue No. 2. Not only is there more content than the debut issue, but the zine has sponsors now as well.

For this issue, we were encouraged to design our own page(s), and apparently mine is instantly recognizable because, as so many people have told me, my ‘branding is on point.’ I guess my 15 years of marketing experience finally has its benefits for something on LinkedIn. Now if only those skills could pay the bills and their platform would actually help me land a legit job. 🙃

For my submission I decided to use my “Walk On The Wild Side” portrait I did of Howie Mandel and Maurice from Little Monsters. I felt it really encapsulates the strange fun vibe of the literary mag. Ironically I had submitted my page months prior to getting invited to Howie’s show and getting to meet him, so the universe really was aligned with this one and apparently my intuition was on point as well.

Weird Professional Magazine Issue 2

Here is a how my finished page looks published in the zine….

👀 Be sure to give the online version of the whole zine a look through and discover all the weird and wonderful things everyone submitted. It will be available on Flipbook (for 1 year) and you can also purchase a print copy (pre-orders are open until June 1st) as well.

🤩 A big shoutout to our Fellowship Of The Weird Editor-in-Chief, Ambra Hubert 🦄 for continuing to make this literary magazine possible and for giving all of us ‘weirdlings’ 👾 a platform to express ourselves without judgment!

Being a part of unique projects like this is exactly why I love sharing my work publicly.

Evil Eye Of Protection Charmsters Are Here! 👹🧿

0

For the last few months I have been creating like crazy in preparation for the Unruly Art Market taking place next weekend. It’s been a bit chaotic juggling so many projects at once, but its also been motivating me to finally conjure up so many visions that have been waiting to be checked off my art bucket list.

Not everything is ready to be revealed just yet. Many are literally drying as I type this, but I am excited to finally share four new little Monstrosities that are ready to make their debut.

They are hand sculpted, hand painted wearable monster charm pendants that I call Charmsters. And this first batch is extra magical because each one was created with its very own ancient symbol of protection, also known as “the evil eye.” They are my unique way of transforming an ordinary necklace into a pocket sized talisman of chaos, comfort, and spooky charm.

Charmsters Evil Eye Monster Charm Necklaces By Living Dead Girl Nicole

Like all of my Monstrosities, each Charmster has its own mischievous personality, but these little guardians do more than just look delightfully strange. They keep a watchful eye open to ward off negativity, bad vibes, and jealous energy while protecting their chosen human. 👹🧿

These 1.5″ x 2″ toothy grinned protectors are perfect for those who love a little eccentricity mixed with spiritual energy in their style. Each one comes ready to wear with a black waxed faux leather 20″ necklace cord featuring a lobster clasp and 2″ extension chain.

Why You’ll Love Them:
✨ Unlike my other Monstrosities, these tiny guardians can accompany you wherever you roam
✨ Each one has its own unique personality, allowing you to choose the one that matches yours
✨ Uniquely created with the ancient evil eye symbol to help ward off negativity, bad vibes, and jealous energy
✨ They are the perfect everyday talisman for lovers of the strange and magical
✨ They are guaranteed to spark compliments and curious conversations
✨ They are collectible handmade art pieces you won’t find at any big box store, making them unique and highly giftable

As pictured, four of these little Charmsters are pre-made and ready to bond with their forever human. Since they are hand made and not mass produced* no two will ever be recreated exactly the same. This means the one you adopt was meant for you and only you.

Anyone attending the Unruly Art Market next weekend will get first dibs on adopting them. Any Charmsters still searching to bond with their chosen human after the event will be added to my Etsy shop for online shoppers and placed inside my Cabinets of Curiosities at Closet Collectibles for those who wish to see and adopt one in person.*

Do not miss your chance to invite one of these whimsical little guardians with monstrous personalities into your wardrobe and adventures. You may get some jealous stares from those who didn’t act quickly enough, but no worries, they were literally made for that!

Sir Kadean Side Quests Adds Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole To Realm Marketplace

0

HUZZAH! I am thrilled to share that Sir Kadean Side Quests has added my artwork to their Realm Marketplace, a curated showcase to give creators a place to share their work and reach new audiences, while offering their side questers a space to discover handmade goods, original art, and independent makers from throughout “the realm”. ⚔️✨

For those not familiar with the Sir Kadean Side Quests, it is a fantasy-inspired community I discovered on Instagram. It was created to help people reconnect with joy, imagination, and purpose in everyday life. What began as a personal response to burnout and unhealthy productivity habits grew into a welcoming space where people can approach life like an adventure through interactive side quests, storytelling, journal prompts, creative challenges, artwork, and community connection. By encouraging reflection, creativity, and self-growth in a fun and approachable way, the project has helped people build healthier habits, rediscover motivation, support independent creators, and feel less alone while navigating life’s challenges.

I am honored to have my work on a website with such a fantastical vision, so please take a moment to check out my featured creator profile under the Illustrations section of the Realm Marketplace. You can also always find it bookmarked along with some of the other spotlights and features of my artwork on the Creature Features page of my portfolio website.

If you are interested in showcasing my work on your website, your next publication, exhibition, or creative venture let’s connect and make some magic together!

Gaia Mini Monsterpiece is Officially Unearthed 🌎👹

1

When I needed to order the 4×4″ canvas to create my Solaris Mini Monsterpiece for the Nevada Fine Arts 4×4 Gallery Show, I was thrilled to discover an affordable pack of canvases that would allow me to make more than just one of my Monstrosities in this fun new size.

Lately, I have been doing a lot of self reflection, with a strong focus on healing my root chakra. With Earth Day on the horizon, spring in the air, and my “Solaris” piece bringing the warmth, I felt inspired to channel that energy into another fun celestial inspired creation. A little handcrafted minion of Mother Earth sent to remind all of us that the energy we need to feel more grounded is just a step outside our front doors.

I chose a blue and green color palette and decided to name the piece “Gaia,” after the personification of Earth and the first deity said to have emerged from chaos.

Like my other Mini Monsterpieces, Gaia is made from a pre-wrapped (on wood) canvas that I’ve transformed into a three-dimensional, cycloptic creature with a glossy hypnotic eye, wild faux hair, drool covered natural shell fangs, glittery horns and rubbery flesh.

Gaia is now up for adoption in my Etsy shop and will be made available to see and purchase* in-person in my Cabinets of Curiosities when I made my next art drop at Closet Collectibles.

If you are new here, be sure to check out my other Monstrosities showcased on my portfolio website.
