Orion Mini Monsterpiece Officially Envisioned! 🌊👁️👹

1

What started off as me creating Solaris for the Nevada Fine Arts 4×4″ gallery show, inspired me to then unearth Gaia. Mixing my love for both monsters and cosmic mythological vibes I felt the universe was telling me “why stop there?” So I decided to dive deep into the depths to conjure up another one of my Monstrosities for the Unruly Art Market.

No pun intended, but the entire vision for this 4×4″ Mini Monsterpiece started with a single physical element.. the eye. I was drawn into the slightly tealish aqua blues mixed with intense red and bloodshot accents and knew right away that Orion was my inspiration. Born from the teal waters of his father Poseidon with the ability to walk across the ocean, and pulled from the shadows of legendary blindness by the fiery light of the sun, the aquatic demigod naturally began taking monster form amidst the fleshy waves of my canvas.

For those not familiar with my Monsterpieces, this particular piece was created on a 4×4″ pre-wrapped (on wood) canvas. I transformed it, by hand sculpting it into a cycloptic creature with wild faux hair, glittery horns, drool covered shell fangs, and rubbery flesh. They are my way of giving unique three dimensional flare to a traditional flat canvas. Since they are hand made and not mass produced* no two will ever be recreated exactly the same, allowing my art collectors something one-of-a-kind and out of the ordinary for their collections.

You can see Orion and my other Monstrosities showcased on my portfolio website.

Anyone attending the Unruly Art Market on Sunday, May 31st will get first dibs on adopting Orion. If he is still hunting for his chosen mortal after the event, he will be added to my Etsy shop for online shoppers and placed inside my Cabinets of Curiosities at Closet Collectibles for those who wish to see and adopt him in person.*

Don’t miss your chance to own this unique piece of beastly art that stretches from the depths of the sea, all the way to the stars in the cosmos. 🌊💫

Bite-Sized Monsterpieces Are Here! 👹🖼️

1

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve been checking off and conjuring up fun new creations off my art bucket list for the Unruly Art Market. With the show quickly approaching this weekend, you can expect to hear lots of updates here leading up to the show on Sunday!

Next on my list to share are for those of you that love collecting my Monsterpieces, especially the mini 3×3″ and 4×4″ versions. Well, I have been wanting to make them in even more sizes and to my luck I discovered 2×2″ canvases that aligned perfectly with my “tiny” little vision. With that being said I am excited to finally share my Bite-Sized Monsterpieces!

This first batch will be making their debut at the show and I can’t even begin to tell you how freaking adorable they are in person.

These miniature monster masterpieces come perched on their own hand-painted easel, bringing personality and fun wherever you display them. And like my other Monsterpieces, these little guys are also made from a pre-wrapped (on wood) canvas that I’ve transformed into a three-dimensional creature with glossy hypnotic eyes, wild faux hair, rubbery flesh and drooling grins. And as you can see a few of them don’t mind exposing their horns to the right person as well.

Why You’ll Love Them:
✨ These tiny creatures won’t take up much space on your desk, shelf, or wherever you display them
✨ They bring strange and unique three-dimensional mixed-media magic to your decor
✨ Each one has its own unique personality, allowing you to choose the one that matches yours
✨ They are guaranteed to spark curious conversations
✨ They are collectible handmade art pieces you won’t find at any big box store, making them unique and highly giftable

As pictured, these eight pre-made bite-sized beasts are ready to bond and protect their forever humans. Since they are hand made and not mass produced* no two will ever be recreated exactly the same. This means the one you adopt was meant for you and only you.

Anyone attending the Unruly Art Market on Sunday will get first dibs on adopting them. Any Bite-Sized Monsterpieces still searching for their chosen human after the event will be added to my Etsy shop for online shoppers and placed inside my Cabinets of Curiosities at Closet Collectibles for those who wish to see and adopt one in person.*

Do not miss your chance to invite one of these adorable, whimsical little creatures with monstrous personalities into your world.

Gaia Mini Monsterpiece is Officially Unearthed 🌎👹

2

When I needed to order the 4×4″ canvas to create my Solaris Mini Monsterpiece for the Nevada Fine Arts 4×4 Gallery Show, I was thrilled to discover an affordable pack of canvases that would allow me to make more than just one of my Monstrosities in this fun new size.

Lately, I have been doing a lot of self reflection, with a strong focus on healing my root chakra. With Earth Day on the horizon, spring in the air, and my “Solaris” piece bringing the warmth, I felt inspired to channel that energy into another fun celestial inspired creation. A little handcrafted minion of Mother Earth sent to remind all of us that the energy we need to feel more grounded is just a step outside our front doors.

I chose a blue and green color palette and decided to name the piece “Gaia,” after the personification of Earth and the first deity said to have emerged from chaos.

Like my other Mini Monsterpieces, Gaia is made from a pre-wrapped (on wood) canvas that I’ve transformed into a three-dimensional, cycloptic creature with a glossy hypnotic eye, wild faux hair, drool covered natural shell fangs, glittery horns and rubbery flesh.

Gaia is now up for adoption in my Etsy shop and will be made available to see and purchase* in-person in my Cabinets of Curiosities when I made my next art drop at Closet Collectibles.

If you are new here, be sure to check out my other Monstrosities showcased on my portfolio website.
