The updates have been dropping like vamps in Sunnydale this week, and the momentum isn’t stopping just yet. I know your feed and your inbox are taking a hit, but I wouldn’t want you to be… “bored now” would I? So, “buckle up, Rupert”, because I’ve got some more news to share with my art collectors and the prophecy is now ready to be revealed.

I am officially one of the chosen ones… as in, an artist whose work has been accepted by Hellmouth Events and Giant-Size Productions for their upcoming Art of The Hellmouth Buffy & Angel Tribute Exhibition! My “I Am The Magics” Willow Rosenberg art piece was selected to slay it on display alongside other Buffyverse inspired artwork in a two-week pop-up gallery show that runs from October 17 to November 1, 2026 at Moby’s Coffee & Tea Co. located in North Hollywood, CA. πŸͺ¦

Now, if you are one of my art collectors who has been following my artventure journeys here, you are already fully aware that my dream is to gift Alyson Hannigan my original 8×10″ version of this piece and therefore its not available for sale. So I am contributing a rare, first-of-its-kind 16×20″ canvas print specifically for this show! Whoever purchases this limited edition art print will also receive a certificate of authenticity that states the following:

This certificate confirms that the artwork identified herein is a limited-edition, professionally produced canvas print created specifically for: The Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel Tribute Exhibition Show at Moby’s. The original piece was hand-drawn by the artist using pencil and chalk pastels on 8″x10″ paper. This document certifies that this piece is the first-ever 16″x20″ canvas print produced from the original artwork.

There will also be 5×7″ prints of my art piece included in Mystery Blind Bundle Packages that will be available to purchase at the show and to top things off 10% of ALL art sales will go to to Fandom Charities Org: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to bring fans together in support of meaningful causes. They turn shared passion into real world impact through events, community experiences, and fundraising efforts that celebrate fandom while helping others.

Daily gallery access to see the exhibition is completely free at Moby’s, but the curators and production staff will also be hosting a ticketed Celebrity Kickoff & Drusilla After Dark Event on opening night, Saturday, October 17, featuring a public signing and evening screening with the one and only Juliet Landau! ⚰️

And that’s not all. They are also hosting a ton of other Buffyverse themed events during the duration of the show. Being stuck out in the Midwest and just reading about everything they have planned gives my jealousy quite the “Spike”. Oh, and did I mention, Moby’s is brewing up some Buffy themed drinks and cafe items as well! You know the tea drinker in me would be dying to sink her teeth into those! β˜•οΈ

So, if you are a slayer or a member of the Scooby Gang, be sure to patrol your way to Moby’s in North Hollywood, California from October 17th – November 1st, 2026 and claim your “stake” on my art! πŸ§›πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Creature Feature: Returning to Housewife of Horror

0

I am very excited to hear from horror host Housewife of Horror. This week they will be airing My Son The Vampire and she will also be wearing another one of my Dead Girl Decay barrettes on the show!

This wearable piece of art is a one-of-a-kind Lucy Westenra tribute barrette. The center is a rate vintage, porcelain cameo that I hand painted to resemble Lucy and then accented it with red and black flower petals and feathers to complete a victorian style pin-up look.

As a huge fan of Bram Stoker’s Dracula I was tempted to keep this barrette and not actually put it up in my shop. But seeing how perfect it looks on Housewife of Horror I am so glad that I did. Also just knowing it is owned by someone who appreciates it as much as I do makes me very happy. The fact she has chosen to wear my handmade creations on her show for a 2nd time is an honor!

So tune in THIS Wednesday, November 13th at 7pm CST at EerieLateNight.com or follow the directions on the Housewife of Horror website to access the programming though your Roku! Don’t forget to also follow the show on social media and leave them some love on there for being so supportive of my work. Share this post while you are at it to help them get more viewers this week and every week!

“Night On The Town” a Tribute to Baron Afanas by Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole

1

I just finished another split face portrait and just in the nick of time. See I have always wanted to draw Doug Jones but he has portrayed so many incredible characters I never could decide which one I wanted to draw. His ability to emerge himself into the makeup and transform himself into whatever character he plays not only blows my mind but is really inspiring. He is not your typical actor playing a role, he is the role.

When he first appeared as Baron Afanas on the TV adaptation What We Do In The Shadows it hit me instantly.. this is it! I knew this was the Doug character I wanted and needed to draw. This show has become one of my all time favorites and the addition of Doug as the Baron makes me love it even more. The Baron makes you fear him, love him, laugh with him and mourn for him and Doug does it with absolute perfection.

After deciding I wanted to draw Doug as the Baron, I added him to my art bucket list thinking I had time to draw him. Then I got word that he was added as a guest to a convention I will be attending. I was so excited to meet him that of corpse my drawing hands went to work immediately. However I knew it was going to be a bit of a challenge to get it done in time with all those wrinkles. But I didn’t let that discourage me. In fact, if anything it motivated me even more. It also wasn’t easy finding photos from him on the show since he is new on the show and not one of the main characters, so I re-watched the show and then utilized a few photos shared online from make up artist Todd Masters who brought the Baron to life. Those photos really helped to get the fine details and full perspective of his facial structure and also made me appreciate the make up artists incredible work even more.

I did get the art piece completed just in time and am so excited to gift it to him this weekend. I call the piece “Night On The Town” and I could not be happier with how it all came out….

If you too are a fan of Doug Jones and the Baron make sure to keep an eye out in my Etsy Shop for made-to-order prints and wearable art shirts and don’t forget to come back here to see what happens when I gift the original art piece to Doug himself in my next artventure update!
