Orion Mini Monsterpiece Officially Envisioned! 🌊👁️👹

What started off as me creating Solaris for the Nevada Fine Arts 4×4″ gallery show, inspired me to then unearth Gaia. Mixing my love for both monsters and cosmic mythological vibes I felt the universe was telling me “why stop there?” So I decided to dive deep into the depths to conjure up another one of my Monstrosities for the Unruly Art Market.

No pun intended, but the entire vision for this 4×4″ Mini Monsterpiece started with a single physical element.. the eye. I was drawn into the slightly tealish aqua blues mixed with intense red and bloodshot accents and knew right away that Orion was my inspiration. Born from the teal waters of his father Poseidon with the ability to walk across the ocean, and pulled from the shadows of legendary blindness by the fiery light of the sun, the aquatic demigod naturally began taking monster form amidst the fleshy waves of my canvas.

For those not familiar with my Monsterpieces, this particular piece was created on a 4×4″ pre-wrapped (on wood) canvas. I transformed it, by hand sculpting it into a cycloptic creature with wild faux hair, glittery horns, drool covered shell fangs, and rubbery flesh. They are my way of giving unique three dimensional flare to a traditional flat canvas. Since they are hand made and not mass produced* no two will ever be recreated exactly the same, allowing my art collectors something one-of-a-kind and out of the ordinary for their collections.

Anyone attending the Unruly Art Market on Sunday, May 31st will get first dibs on adopting Orion. Weird Professional Zine No. 2 Features “Walk On The Wild Side”Artwork By Living Dead Girl Nicole 👾✨

If you enjoyed seeing me and so many talented LinkedIn ‘weirdlings’ 👾 featured in the debut issue of the Weird Professional Zine, then you are really going to enjoy what everyone has compiled for Issue No. 2. Not only is there more content than the debut issue, but the zine has sponsors now as well.

For this issue, we were encouraged to design our own page(s), and apparently mine is instantly recognizable because, as so many people have told me, my ‘branding is on point.’ I guess my 15 years of marketing experience finally has its benefits for something on LinkedIn. Now if only those skills could pay the bills and their platform would actually help me land a legit job. 🙃

For my submission I decided to use my “Walk On The Wild Side” portrait I did of Howie Mandel and Maurice from Little Monsters. I felt it really encapsulates the strange fun vibe of the literary mag. Ironically I had submitted my page months prior to getting invited to Howie’s show and getting to meet him, so the universe really was aligned with this one and apparently my intuition was on point as well.

Thank you to my art collectors and supporters who have rallied behind me by voting for me daily in Johnny Depp’s The People’s Artist Competition. Because of you, I have received enough votes to remain in the Top 20 and therefore I have advanced to Round 2.

This means I am one step closer to winning $25,000, appearing in Artforum Magazine, and getting my work displayed in an exclusive exhibit at The Art of Elysium’s Art Salon in Los Angeles!

HUZZAH! I am thrilled to share that Sir Kadean Side Quests has added my artwork to their Realm Marketplace, a curated showcase to give creators a place to share their work and reach new audiences, while offering their side questers a space to discover handmade goods, original art, and independent makers from throughout “the realm”. ⚔️✨

For those not familiar with the Sir Kadean Side Quests, it is a fantasy-inspired community I discovered on Instagram. It was created to help people reconnect with joy, imagination, and purpose in everyday life. What began as a personal response to burnout and unhealthy productivity habits grew into a welcoming space where people can approach life like an adventure through interactive side quests, storytelling, journal prompts, creative challenges, artwork, and community connection.
