I am excited to announce that I have been selected to participate in Johnny Depp’s The People’s Artist Competition. This means I am in the running to win $25,000, appear in Artforum Magazine, and get my work displayed in an exclusive exhibit at The Art of Elysium’s Art Salon in Los Angeles!

To win the competition, I must receive votes from “the people” via MY PROFILE. Each day you can vote once for free, You can also increase my chances of winning by adding a donation with your vote for The Art of Elysium, an organization that empowers artists and communities through tailor-made art programs designed to help people overcome social and emotional challenges. Each $1 donation = 1 extra vote!

After losing my job and navigating this dumpster fire job market, the universe continues to send me signs to focus my energy on my Artrepreneur dreams. Winning this would not only provide the financial support I need to do so, but could also open doors I never could’ve imagined. So in other words, I need my art collectors and supporters to rally behind me by voting on MY PROFILE daily and sharing this post. Let’s show the world you support my artist mission: “that the strange is beautiful, the weird is welcome, and being unapologetically yourself is the greatest masterpiece of all.

When you support an artist, you’re supporting a dream. Thank you for supporting mine.

Unruly Art Market May 31 at Crow and Calico will Feature Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole and More!

Well, the cat’s out of the bag, and in a way, so am I.

As many of you know, about six years ago I went into a bit of a vendor hibernation. I started selling my artwork on consignment with Closet Collectibles, and it has been much easier to balance my time and energy by focusing on my in store display. That way, my collectors can browse and purchase my pre-made pieces at anytime.

In other words, I usually turn down vending events. But this one is different.

My incredibly talented and supportive friend, April Adams, is putting together a special event to give back to her network of artist friends by creating a space for them to be seen, supported, and celebrated. She is bringing together a community of amazing creatives and giving them more exposure and opportunity to share their creations. Since I am not currently working, the timing felt aligned, and honestly, it felt like a calling to show up, support her vision, and stand alongside her and other local artists.

So with that being said, I am officially dusting off my vendor booth gear for this event and it would mean the world to me if my art collectors would come out and be a part of it. It will be a fun opportunity to purchase art from real human artists (no AI here), jam out to live local music, stuff your face on delicious grub from local food trucks, sip a drink or two at the hosts’ tavern, meet some adorable goats on the farm, and even get your own creative energy flowing with a live paint and sip. And it gets better… its FREE to attend!

Art for Everyone: Bob Ross Exhibit at Dunn Museum

0

Took a wonderful day date adventure with the hubby to see the Art For Everyone: Bob Ross exhibit at the Dunn Museum over the weekend. We were both in awe to be so close to so many of his masterpieces. Each painting was labeled with what episode they were from and we loved being able to recognize so many that we have watched him create on The Joy Of Painting. πŸ–Ό πŸ’•

And of course, no trip to a museum is complete without a stop at the gift shop, where I was pleasantly surprised to find these awesome items from The Paint Sesh!
