Svengoolie Features Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Creations on Air! 📺😱

“ATTA GIRL NICOLE!” is all I keep saying to myself after tuning into The Ghost & Mr Chicken 👻🐔 on Svengoolie Saturday night. If you’ve seen the movie before you get the pun but it’s the awe of seeing my artwork on the show that makes it that much more meaningful!

I received an email from Svengoolie (yes, Rich Koz himself) a couple of weeks ago giving me a heads up that my artwork would be featured on the show. So naturally I began counting down the days until I got to tune in. In the mean time I was spreading the word to my art collectors/supporters to all do the same without giving too much away.

When the day finally arrived my husband Frank and I had already planned on making it a whole exciting evening in at home. We got some pizzas, some Uncle Arnie’s, put on our comfy clothes and sat back and enjoyed the film and took in this very memorable episode together. When Kerwyn announced it was time for mail call I had my camera ready and got some great screenshots.

Not only did they feature my “You’re All Grown Up Now” split face portrait that I framed and gifted to Sven, but Gwengoolie also modeled the Glamour Ghoul Dead Girl Decay barrette I made for her on the show as well! That was all thanks to Sven who was kind enough to hand deliver it to her on my behalf after giving it to him with the portrait at Flashback Weekend. To top it off Sven even made it a point to give my Dad a little shout out cause I told him how much he loves the show. I can’t even begin to explain how full my creepy little heart is right now.

I also was able to get a recording of the feature on my phone and thanks to my dear fiend Ben Lewandowski of Dead Regime Media, the sound has been edited to make it louder and clearer for sharing….

To top off being in complete awe of seeing my work on what is such an iconic show for our local horror community, it was the emails, texts, and posts that poured in from my art collectors both during and after the show that really set me from cloud 9 to cloud 10! To see how many of you found ways to tune in or DVR the show without even knowing exactly what to expect but trusting that it was something very special to me, really put things into perspective of how much you guys truly believe in me. This here is just a snippet of what I received from you guys and I would be fibbing if I said I am not tearing up typing this and looking at how many of you chose to spend your Saturday evening in just to support me. 🥹

Let’s hope that by all of you tuning in on my behalf led to skyrocketing the shows ratings on MeTv  for Rich Koz, Sarah “Pin Up Palmer” and the entire production crew who were ghoul enough to make this special moment happen for me. I mean I have always had nothing but mad respect and admiration for all of them (hence why they inspired me to create in the first place) but now when I think of them I will forever be haunted by this moment in all the best ways and am truly grateful to them for it.

So a little birdie (more like a rubber chicken dodger in a top hat) reached out to inform me that I (and all of you) should definitely tune into Svengoolie on MeTv this weekend! All I can say is set your DVRs and/or tune in live on Saturday, September 19th 7pm CST because you don’t want to miss a very special mail call during this week’s episode! 📺😱

Gallerium’s Girlish Art Exhibition features ‘I Am The Somebody. I’m The Fire’ Daisy Jones Piece by Living Dead Girl Nicole 🎀🖼️🌼

I am excited to share that I have more art exhibition news! Not only is my “Invite Me In” piece being featured in the Bloodsuckers: Art Of The Undead’ exhibition that opened at Evolved Art Gallery in Ventura, California this past weekend, but now another piece of my work is being featured in a virtual exhibition curated by Gallerium on the Biafarin platform.

The theme of the exhibition is Girlish 🎀: Stories of Femininity, Strength, and Becoming: A chance to express the essence, struggles, and triumphs of girls and women by celebrating their diverse stories through art. Exploring the depths of femininity, conveying self-discovery, empowerment, societal expectations, cultural influences, and personal narratives revealing the strength, beauty, challenges, and resilience of women.

I submitted a few of my portrait pieces on a whim to see if the curators may want to feature one or all of them and was thrilled that they accepted my ‘I Am The Somebody. I’m The Fire’ piece that I hand drew in pencil and chalk pastels in tribute to Riley Keough as Daisy Jones. 🌼 Not just because I love the piece, but because the character of Daisy and her journey truly fits the theme so perfectly.

When submitting the work they asked for description of what inspired the piece in which I wrote:

I Am The Somebody. I’m The Fire.” is a traditional pencil and soft chalk pastel portrait paying tribute to the feisty, determined character of Daisy Jones, played by Riley Keough, in the musical drama series Daisy Jones & The Six. Inspired by the 1970s rock scene and heavily rooted in Fleetwood Mac lore, the piece channels a nostalgic seventies aesthetic to capture Daisy’s turbulent journey toward self-belief and artistic independence. The title and composition pull references from various defining moments in Daisy’s journey, focusing closely on the iconic aesthetics of the fictional Aurora album photo shoot. Ultimately, this portrait honors a fiercely resilient woman overcoming an unsupportive past to follow her dreams, find her fire, choose happiness, and become her own “somebody,” a creative force who refused to be anyone’s muse but her own.

The exhibition is already being featured in Art Week and includes this really cool collage of all the incredible work that was accepted by the 86 artists for the show:

Please note that my piece shows up in this exhibition as Not For Sale because the original 8×10″ version is in my personal collection in hopes that maybe one day I cross paths with Riley and can gift it to her. After all, Daisy did teach us ladies to believe in ourselves and to follow our dreams.

And just because I am dreaming does not mean my art collectors can’t enjoy this piece for their very own collection. Made-to order giclee, metallic, canvas prints and t-shirts of the piece are available to order in my Etsy shop, and if you are a local to Illinois there is currently still an 8×10″ and 4×6″ canvas print of this piece on display and available to purchase from my Artist Of The Month Display at Soundgrowler! If you love rock music you will definitely love the atmosphere there!

Evolved Art Gallery Bloodsuckers Exhibition will Feature ‘Invite Me In’ Jessica Hamby Piece by Living Dead Girl Nicole 🫦🖼️🧛🏻‍♀️

Following a highly successful run at the ‘I Know You Are But What Am I?’ Pee-wee Herman exhibition, where all of my prints sold out and I had the lovely experience of working with Christina (the gallery owner) who is a absolute gem, I decided to submit to Evolved Art Gallery‘s next showcase: Bloodsuckers: Art Of The Undead’ 🧛🏻‍♀️✨

With that being said, I am thrilled to announce that my work was accepted, and this time it won’t be in the limited edition print rack. Instead for this show, my ‘Invite Me In’ pencil, colored pencil and charcoal portrait piece inspired by Deborah Ann Woll’s portrayal of Jessica Hamby in True Blood 🫦 will creep up the walls with all the other incredible vampy art that has been accepted into the show.

Now, if you are one of my art collectors who has been following my artventure journeys, you are already fully aware that the original 8×10″ version of this piece was gifted directly to Deborah Ann Woll, and therefore its not available for sale.

Since baby vamp Jessica herself has the piece in her collection, I am contributing a rare, first-of-its-kind 16×20″ canvas print specifically for this show! It will come with a certificate of authenticity that states the following:

“This certificate confirms that the artwork identified in this document is a limited edition professionally printed canvas print made specifically for the Evolved Art Gallery Bloodsuckers Exhibition. It is the first canvas print of this specific art piece to ever be printed in a 16″x20″ size. The original artwork that this canvas print was created from was hand drawn in pencil, charcoal & colored pencil on 8″x10″ paper & is owned by actress Deborah Ann Woll, whose portrayal of Jessica Hamby in True Blood inspired the artist to create it.”

So, wither you are a fangbanger or creature of the night who happens to be near Ventura, California be ready to rise September 12th – October 31st, 2026 and come thirsty for some killer art made by over 70 artists at Evolved Art Gallery! The opening takes place on the 12th with free viewings every weekend through Halloween. While you are there, be sure to tell Christina that Living Dead Girl Nicole sent ya! She works incredibly hard to put these shows on, and I am truly honored to have my work be selected once again by “a fine art gallery for creative misfits!“🦇
