Mini Monsterpieces Are Here!

4

As one of my art collectors, you know I deliver when you’re looking for something unique to add to your collection. And if you’re seeking something beyond traditional flat canvas art, I’ve got something new that’s sure to take the bore out of your decor.

Introducing my newest Monstrosities…Mini Monsterpieces! These handcrafted cycloptic creatures on canvas were born from my desire to explore three-dimensional, mixed-media art infused with my own whimsical goth flair. They’re perfect little β€˜masterpieces’ for art collectors who crave something beyond the traditional, want more eclectic flair in their surroundings, and adore handmade pieces that are sure to spark a conversation. Maybe even with the art itself, but don’t worry, these little beasties rarely talk back, making them excellent listeners. πŸ‘Ή

Mini Monsterpieces Canvas Art By Living Dead Girl Nicole

Each Monsterpiece is made from a pre-wrapped (on wood) 3″ x 3″ canvas that I’ve transformed into a three-dimensional, loveable cycloptic creature with one hypnotic big eye, wild faux hair, natural shell bead fang(s), and glittery horns. A miniature masterpiece perched on its own hand-painted easel, bringing personality and fun wherever you display them.

Why You’ll Love Them:
✨ Like all of my creations, no two are ever the same, each with its own personality
✨ They bring three-dimensional mixed-media magic to your decor
✨ Can be displayed on their hand-painted easel or hung on the wall
✨ Perfect conversation starters, sure to catch eyes wherever they’re displayed
✨ Collectible, irresistibly adorable, and guaranteed to bring joy to you or anyone you gift them to

These new Monstrosities have been in the works for months, but between job hunting I wanted to wait until custom orders were completed and shipped, prep season was over for Flashback Weekend, the Yorkiethon 9 auction was a success, my 80s Sticker packs were released, my Freaky Fanatic submissions got their moment in the spotlight, and my latest portraits were completed before I did the big reveal. Luckily, the universe always aligns perfectly. I mean, what better way to kick off spooky season than to offer my collectors MORE monsters!

As pictured, there are currently three of these little beasties pre-made and ready for their new homes! Don’t miss your chance to own a one-of-a-kind, three-dimensional, mixed-media canvas creation with monstrous personality. No two will ever be the same, and once adopted, they’re gone for good. I’m already brewing up more Monstrosities in my “lab”, but this batch is very unique because they are the first of their kind.

Claim yours now in my Etsy shop before they are spoken for. Whichever ones not claimed by the time I make my next art drop will also become available to see and purchase* in person for my Closet Collectibles shoppers! Don’t miss your chance to add one of these little monstrous masterpieces to your collection!

Exclusive Cool Hand Frank Interview with Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole

3

While networking with fellow creatives on LinkedIn, I had the honor of connecting with Frank Schieber who invited me to do an artist interview feature for his platform, Cool Hand Frank!

Not only was it an insightful and energizing conversation, but I’m also thrilled to be the very first artist spotlighted in their brand new interview series. We had a blast diving into the inspiration behind my branding and artistic pseudonym, how Midwest horror, pop culture, and the local rock scene have shaped my work, my evolution through different artistic mediums, and which iconic figures living and dead I dream of gifting my art to. I also share some fun facts that might surprise my collectors, how the Soska Sisters pulled me out of an artistic funk, and even reveal my go-to beverage for keeping the creative blood flowing.

“For starters, getting a message from someone named Living Dead Girl Nicole is one hell of an attention-getter. Second, I’m a sucker for word fusion when it’s done well and her self-described title of Artrepreneur was both unique and relatable. Third, a David Bowie quote on her LinkedIn profile? Come on. That sealed the deal for a dialogue. We exchanged messages for a week. Her intelligence was clear, as was her deep passion for all things horror and fantasy genres I rarely dabble in. What really struck me, though, was how seamlessly she connects those worlds with celebrity-centered pop culture. So I asked to interview her, and she said yes. Enjoy this brief chat with an exceptional multimedia artist whose reputation in the horror and fantasy convention scene is growing fast!”

*Please note, as “a digital oasis for creatives in the chaos of modern media“, the platform is an exclusive, subscription-based website. You do need to subscribe to unlock and read the full article (it was already blasted out to their huge network of followers this weekend). The good news? Subscriptions start as low as $1, and you can cancel anytime. If you choose to stick around, I can vouch that you won’t find any of the negative noise you get from regular news outlets. Just original works from real writers and creatives. Lots of wit. Lots of talent. Lots of cool. 😎

For those not familiar with Cool Hand Frank, here is a snippet from their website to help you get you familiar with their mission…

What Will You Discover? Original written works from real writers: engaging essays, witty humor, short stories, and even the occasional poem. There’s no AI-generated content here (though ChatGPT and Claude are excellent senior editors, I’m still the executive editor). Every word is handcrafted and delivered with care like Sinatra sang, “nice and easy.” The curated art on Cool Hand Frank is as distinctive as the writing. Most images come from talented artists and creators, with occasional use of my own photography or the rare stock photo when needed. See something you love and want to buy? Connect with the artist directly through this website. Also, if you’re a writer, painter, photographer, mixed-media artist, or other creator looking for a cool platform to showcase your works, talk to me: let’s collaborate and get you exposure to a fast-growing subscriber audience. In a world drowning in content overload, Cool Hand Frank is your refreshing timeout. Weekly updates bring you high-grade storytelling without pop-ups, banner ads, or distractions. Just one email a week to tell you what’s new!

New to my blog? You can find this article as well as many other fun places that my art work has been featured on the Creature Features section of my portfolio website!

Being featured by a publication is always an honor, especially when it’s a platform that uplifts creatives and reminds us that art still matters in a world full of noise. It’s rare to find a space that not only showcases talent but also nurtures it, encourages honest expression, and connects artists with audiences who truly appreciate their work. I’m proud to be a part of the conversation and it makes me excited to keep creating, connecting, and pushing boundaries!

Positivity Takes Flight with Citrine Skullerfly Creation by Living Dead Girl Nicole

1

When it comes to all the natural crystals and gemstones this world has gifted us, citrine has a joyful energy all its own. Known as the stone of positivity, citrine radiates bright, sun-kissed light that’s perfect for uplifting any space while also lifting your spirit. I’ve always been drawn to citrine and love how its warm hues and powerful metaphysical energy help keep my mindset positive and my intentions clear. With its golden glow, you can’t help but look at it and feel a burst of energy and light that makes you excited and ready to manifest your best intentions.

With that being said, there is an abundance of joy and empowering intentions in this special new piece I have handcrafted and added to my Spellbinding Collection. If you are looking to attract a positive mindset, balance your solar plexus chakra, and bring some warmth into any space, then my latest creation will provide the energy you’ve been needing and craving in your life.

As with all of my Spiritual Skullerfly Ornamental Crystal Wreaths, this one also has a rosary of the crystal that inspired it and a clear crystal quartz to amplify its positive energy. As you may have already noticed from the photo above, this piece in particular has a bonus raw citrine crystal hanging from it as well. It has been blessed with incense, charged by last night’s Flower Full Moon, and is adorned in real twigs that were hand picked and dipped in glitter to represent the magical properties of nature. This handmade creation is perfect for hanging in your living room, hallway, or any space where you want to invite joy, lift the mood, and create a warm, positive atmosphere.

Each one of these pieces are one-of-a-kind and marked as limited edition because I only make one of these for each specific type of crystal that inspires me. This allows the piece to be extra special and reach the person the universe feels it was intended for.

For those who are interested, this special piece can be purchased in my Etsy Shop or at a discounted price* at Closet Collectibles in Crete, IL.

Want to see more of my magical creations? Visit the Spellbinding page of my official portfolio site and leave a comment on this post with the names of your favorite crystals. By doing so, you might just manifest my next creation!

Stay Strange & Magical,
LDG Nicole
