Artflow Alliance Haunted Histories Virtual Art Exhibition Features Portraits by Living Dead Girl Nicole

0

While I continue to ride this rollercoaster that is this nightmare of a job market, one thing holds true. My LinkedIn network has pulled through for me time and time again since being laid off. Wither its buying my art that has helped me financially, reposting/spreading the word about my creations and job search on their profiles, commenting words of encouragement, reacting to my silly Muppet gifs, or sharing opportunities with me, I am honestly so incredibly grateful to all of the connections I have made on there.

Which leads me to Dominique Sahms the Founder and Curator of Artflow Alliance. As an artist herself, Dominique created Artflow Alliance to be a collaborative artist network that connects creatives worldwide. Through curated exhibitions, open calls, and artist spotlights, she helps support artists in expanding their reach, building community, and sustaining their practices.

With that being said, Dominique reached out to me about my work, asking if she can feature some of my pieces in her next Virtual Art Exhibition: Haunted Histories, and I am so honored to be a part of it.

This exhibition theme focuses on:
πŸ•―οΈStepping into the shadows of memory
🏚️ Abandoned places and ghost towns
πŸͺΆ Cultural myths, folklore, and oral traditions
πŸ‘ͺ Family lineage and ancestral echoes
πŸ“œ Historical events and overlooked narratives
☠️ The concept of history itself as a haunting force

The exhibition runs from Halloween, October 31st – December 31st, 2025 and the great thing is you don’t even have to leave your home or travel to view and support the artists who are participating in it. Everything can be viewed online via a free, interactive 3D art gallery. Allowing more artists and art collectors from around the globe to participate.

So starting TOMORROW, be sure to visit the exhibition link so you can freely scroll the virtual walls showcasing all the hauntingly beautiful art that is being featured, including my “Maybe Today Satan” and “Nothing Is Trivial” split-face portraits.

While there be sure to leave a ❀️ on the virtual display of my art pieces to show them some love and let me know you visited, and like always sharing this post to help spread the word for us artists would mean the world to us. Especially in this day and age where AI art is in the spotlight. Lets keep reminding the world where the true talent lies.. in human art.

“Maybe Today Satan” a Tribute to Sabrina Spellman by Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole

0

I will start off by saying (once again) that I have never really been a fan of re-makes and re-boots. However, I will allow you to quote me as saying that the “re-boot” of Sabrina The Teenage Witch is quite the exception. Those of us who grew up on the Archie comics, the cartoon and even embraced the 90s TV sitcom got to enjoy the cutesy version of Sabrina Spellman.

Now as adults we get to bask in the sinful glory of a MUCH darker side of what it could have been like to be in Sabrina’s half-witch half-mortal shoes. So in other words, The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina on Netflix is the version I had always hoped for but never got (sorry Melissa Joan Hart but I did love you in Clarissa Explains It All!). The first time I laid eyes on The Academy of Unseen Arts I was like “Screw Hogwarts! Sign me up here!” (I even have an alumni sweatshirt cause I am a dork like that). So I guess what I am trying to say is that I really dig this show. I think a lot of it has to do with all the incredible Biblical, Pagen, Horror Movie, Archie and Riverdale references that they incorporate and cross reference on top of the story line. Some being super obvious and others as hidden Easter Eggs for fans who really “get it”.

That leads me to my latest art piece inspired by the beautifully talented Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina. I didn’t want to just draw her in her everyday look. If you know a thing or two about the show you will definitely get the play on words that I am using for the title as you take in what I have drawn. I call it “Maybe Today Satan”…

For those who have not started watching this show yet, I will not give away too much. What I will say is that this split face portrait is inspired by Sabrina’s two royalty looks as the Queen of Hell aka Sabrina Spellman – Morningstar! This piece was done in pencils and chalk pastels.

Are you a good witch or a bad witch? Either way prints and shirts of this art piece are now available in my Amazon shop for you to rock proudly as either! You can also see more of my portrait work in the Spitting Image section of my portfolio website!

Stay Spooky!
