My Pet Rockster Brings Comfort and Charm to William’s Desk Space

0

One of my new art collectors, William, discovered my one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted Pet Rocksters on my LinkedIn and had to adopt one for his very own.

Not only did William provide one of my Monstrosities a happy new home, but now it proudly sits on his desk next to a photo of his beloved dog, who passed away earlier this summer. I could not be more honored to know that this little creature I conjured up from nature is now bringing him joy, while guarding the cherished memory of his furry friend.

Getting this photo submission was another beautiful reminder of the healing presence that art can hold, especially when I hand-make each piece with loving intentions and the hopeful vision that what I am creating will bring joy to those who need it.

What William had to say about my work on LinkedIn

“Nicole, I really admire your work! I love how you’re not trying to recreate what’s already been done, but instead striving to be innovative and true to your own style. That uniqueness not only sets you apart but also inspires others to think differently and embrace their own creativity. Keep pushing forward, you’re making a real impact with your originality!”

Troy Adds Pee Wee Vibes to Man Cave with Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Art

1

Today would’ve been Paul Reubens birthday, and what better way to celebrate this legendary icon that I love so much, then with a new Freaky Fanatic submission showcasing my Pee Wee Herman art!

Troy, one of my awesome art collectors, purchased an 8×10 canvas print of my piece “It’s Gonna Be That Kind of Mornin'”, a tribute inspired by my lifelong obsession with Pee Wee’s Playhouse. His print now proudly hangs in his man cave, where he loves to kick back and let loose. And really, what better way to unwind than with some playful, nostalgic Pee Wee vibes in the mix?!

Not only did Troy submit this great photo….

But he also submitted a short video as well…

In true Conky fashion, I leave you with the Word of the Day, and that is β€œGRATEFUL”
Grateful (are you screaming real loud?) for all of my art collectors like Troy who love what I do and proudly display my work in places that bring them joy! And grateful (did you scream real loud again?) to Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman whose incredible talents brought so much joy into all of our lives that it inspired me to create the original of this art piece.

Speaking of sharing the love, if you’re new here, be sure to check out Troy’s photos and video featured alongside some of my other happy art collector submissions on my Freaky Fanatics page. While you’re there, take your next “big adventure” by exploring my portfolio, filled with handmade, hand-drawn, and hand-painted creations across the pages of my site.

Yorkiethon 9 Winner Adds Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Art To ArieScope Display

1

As artists, we often wonder where our creations end up after we part with them, whether they find the right hands and if they’re truly appreciated by those who receive them.

Recently, Stephen, the winner of my Yorkiethon 9 charity auction donation, sent me photos of the “Daddyautographed canvas print now on display in his home. Seeing it as part of his Adam Green and Joe Lynch collection and display, I can honestly say it feels like the universe aligned perfectly. This special piece of artwork clearly ended up exactly where it was meant to be and I couldn’t be happier.

Massive thanks to Stephen for being so ghoul, sharing these killer photos of his home display, and supporting both our horror community and The Movie Crypt’s mission to help rescue Arwen’s furry friends. This charity auction raised over $42,000 for Save A Yorkie Rescue, breaking records from previous years, and I’m so honored that my artwork was part of it.

If you’re new here, be sure to check out the slideshow on my Freaky Fanatics page featuring Stephen’s photos and my other happy art collectors. While you are there, be sure to browse over to my Backbones page to discover other fun ways I’ve used my artwork to support amazing causes.

The Mini Creep Gets Wise, Brave, and Tricky with Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Coraline Art

0

You may recall a little fiend (aka friend) I made at Flashback Weekend in 2021. It was the first time since the pandemic that we were finally able to go to a horror con again and she had the right idea on masking up.. as Sam from Trick ‘r Treat! She asked to take a photo with our Stripe gremlin and I myself just had to get a pic with her and her amazing cosplay.

Since then, Raven aka The Mini Creep has become a part of my horror community fam and I have stayed in contact with her and her Mom ever since. They are the ones I give credit to for getting to spend our anniversary getaway dinner at Famous Monsters Pizza. They have also given me lots of other travel advice including tips for when I finally get to take my dream trip to Salem, MA.

I have had the joy of buying some of the items she has put up for sale and supporting her fundraising efforts so she can continue doing what she loves…. going to cons, cosplaying her heart out, and meeting her fave icons and people (like myself) that love the genre. Something I would’ve loved to have done when I was her age if stuff like this has existed back then. Another thing I love about Raven is not only does she rock her cosplay to the fullest, she actually helps her Mom make the costumes. I have even had the honor of seeing sneak peek photos that she sends to me during their creation process. She has entered many costume contests at these cons and she impresses the judges with her abilities to act the characters out on stage. Not surprising though, as this little one is also a scream queen herself and has already landed a few acting gigs along the way.

As a thank you for my support she painted me a small painting which she sent to me with some other goodies, including her Pennywise cosplay logo sticker which is seen here displayed on my art drawing board. I just adore that she chose to use my fave galaxy colors for the painting she made me. They definitely scream “Nicole” and it is now displayed in my art space room.

So now that you know about The Mini Creep, here is where the Freaky Fanatic part comes in. She recently sent me this adorable photo of herself proudly displaying her print of my  “Be Wise. Be Brave. Be Tricky.” painting of Coraline and I just had to share it (with her Mom’s permission of corpse) ….

Thank you for being so ghoul Raven and sending me this awesome photo! Keep doing what you love!

Want to see more photos of my Freaky Fanatics (aka happy customers) then be sure to stop by my official art portfolio website where you will see Raven along with all the others in my slideshows! It may just inspire you to buy something from my Etsy shop or display case at Closet Collectibles and become a Freaky Fanatic yourself!
