My Pet Rockster Brings Comfort and Charm to William’s Desk Space

0

One of my new art collectors, William, discovered my one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted Pet Rocksters on my LinkedIn and had to adopt one for his very own.

Not only did William provide one of my Monstrosities a happy new home, but now it proudly sits on his desk next to a photo of his beloved dog, who passed away earlier this summer. I could not be more honored to know that this little creature I conjured up from nature is now bringing him joy, while guarding the cherished memory of his furry friend.

Getting this photo submission was another beautiful reminder of the healing presence that art can hold, especially when I hand-make each piece with loving intentions and the hopeful vision that what I am creating will bring joy to those who need it.

What William had to say about my work on LinkedIn

“Nicole, I really admire your work! I love how you’re not trying to recreate what’s already been done, but instead striving to be innovative and true to your own style. That uniqueness not only sets you apart but also inspires others to think differently and embrace their own creativity. Keep pushing forward, you’re making a real impact with your originality!”

If you’re new here, be sure to check out Williams’s photo featured alongside some of my other happy art collector submissions on my Freaky Fanatics page of my portfolio website.

Spitting Image: Memorial Portrait – Possum

5

1961586_217896621733096_1825452114_nTom (a past customer of mine) contacted me recently asking if I can do another portrait for him. I had drawn a memorial portrait of his niece, Audra 4 years ago and he said he immediately thought of me when he decided to have a 2nd memorial portrait done. This time it would be of his pet wolf named Possum. I was honored he came back to have me do yet another meaningful piece and after seeing photographs of his unique and captivating pet, I became instantly excited to work on it. After finishing the portrait the other night I emailed Tom the first draft. I couldn’t be happier when I saw his response in my inbox. It said….”I LOVE IT!”

Last night I put a protective spray on the portrait and tonight I am getting it ready to ship out. I can’t wait to hear what Tom thinks of it when he sees it in person.

Memorial portraits are a wonderful way to pay tribute and keep the memory alive of someone we love. I hope that this portrait of Possum brings some peace to Tom during this time and he can look at it and think back of all the wonderful times he spent with his beloved pet.

To see more of the portraits I have done check them out here at the Spitting Image section of my portfolio site!
