Back Bone: Re-Animate The Horror Corner

0

As you all know I had my own GoFundMe set up a few years ago when I was going through a major health crisis. If it weren’t for the generosity of others, I don’t know how my husband and I would have gotten through things both financially and mentally.  I start my post off like this because I have been there and I know how hard it is to ask for help in a time of need. Which is why I am always trying to find ways to use my art to give back.  That is why when I was recently contacted by my friend Stephanie over at Morbidly Beautiful about a benefit raffle to help a fellow horror artist who was badly burned and lost everything in a fire, I immediately jumped on board.

If you are not aware, and surprisingly as it may sound, the horror community is one of the most kind and generous communities you can be a part of. That is why I was not surprised when I heard I was 1 of 70 shops who have donated their handmade creations to help raise money to “Re-Animate The Horror Corner“! Stephanie and I both decided that my Yours Cruelly Elvira/Cassandra Peterson portrait was ideal for any horror fan and a print of that piece will be going to one of the lucky winners.

If you love horror this is the raffle for you. Not only are you able to win some really unique prizes but your money will go to helping a horror artist to be less stressed while she recovers health wise and also help her to get back to creating and doing what she loves. Watch this video to see all the prizes and how you can enter!

Freaky Fanatics: You Keep Us Dancing!

I saw this photo posted on Instagram by YuvaKala, a fellow artisan who I have purchased from in the past. It hit home with me because it holds so much truth…

Every time I get an order from my Amazon or Etsy shops I literally get giddy with excitement. Yes, the benefits of having that little bit of extra income are great, but that is not why we dance or get giddy. It’s knowing that something we created and put our time, heart and soul into was admired by someone so much, that they actually spent their hard earned money on it. We know what it’s like to struggle and want to have cool things. So if our creations are those cool things, it literally blows our minds. So the next time you debate buying something from an artist that was handcrafted or going with that thing mass produced item that everyone else has, remember that for every purchase you make with us artsy folks, someone is doing a happy dance!

And to all of my Freaky Fanatics who have purchased from me in the past and in the future, thank you for keeping me giddy and dancing! You have no idea how grateful I am to have all of you supporting what I love to do.

Just knowing that people admire what I create and that my artwork has been sent all over this crazy world, is so fulfilling. It never fails to blow my mind each time I get an order notification in my inbox. Or when someone contacts me to work on a project or commission piece.

Thank you for supporting what I love to do! You guys rock!

Get Your Orders In For Ghoulish Garment Gifts!

I just wanted to remind everyone that my Ghoulish Garments can take up to 2 weeks to produce and ship. This is due to the fact that each one is created individually and goes through a quality inspection check from my printer. This assures that you receive the best product possible. So if you are looking to give a unique, wearable art t-shirt as a Christmas present I highly recommend ordering them now to assure they arrive to you on time for holiday gift giving.

There are currently 38 designs to choose from in my Etsy shop. If you prefer to shop via Amazon I have added quite a few designs on there but have not gotten them all on there quite yet. So if you are looking to see ALL the designs that are available I highly recommend going through my Etsy shop. Remember to contact me before ordering if you need a specific size, style or prefer a different color fabric then pictured in the listings. I can often customize these based on what is available through my printer. I have even had clients ask to have the title of the art piece added to the image.
