Back Bone: Re-Animate The Horror Corner

0

As you all know I had my own GoFundMe set up a few years ago when I was going through a major health crisis. If it weren’t for the generosity of others, I don’t know how my husband and I would have gotten through things both financially and mentally.  I start my post off like this because I have been there and I know how hard it is to ask for help in a time of need. Which is why I am always trying to find ways to use my art to give back.  That is why when I was recently contacted by my friend Stephanie over at Morbidly Beautiful about a benefit raffle to help a fellow horror artist who was badly burned and lost everything in a fire, I immediately jumped on board.

If you are not aware, and surprisingly as it may sound, the horror community is one of the most kind and generous communities you can be a part of. That is why I was not surprised when I heard I was 1 of 70 shops who have donated their handmade creations to help raise money to “Re-Animate The Horror Corner“! Stephanie and I both decided that my Yours Cruelly Elvira/Cassandra Peterson portrait was ideal for any horror fan and a print of that piece will be going to one of the lucky winners.

If you love horror this is the raffle for you. Not only are you able to win some really unique prizes but your money will go to helping a horror artist to be less stressed while she recovers health wise and also help her to get back to creating and doing what she loves. Watch this video to see all the prizes and how you can enter!

Important Update | My Etsy Shop is Open Again

1

My Etsy Shop has been re-opened however please read before ordering.

Boris Karloff and Elsa Lanchester in BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, 1935.

This bride of Frankenstein just had surgery #3 that requires recovery time. My body has been sewn back together and needs some time to heal. My shop has been re-opened to allow customers to purchase any pre-made/ready to ship items and to put down deposits to be the first on my list for custom orders that will resume once I have risen from my grave again.

Orders are encouraged during this time as they will be a great help with medical expenses and bills while I am unable to work. Please do not be spooked and continue to place your orders. Just remember to be patient if there are any delays in shipping. My Frankenstein will be helping me get things shipped out as quickly as possible.

Custom made to order pieces of art will not resume until I am fully recovered so please keep that in mind when contacting me with your requests or placing any orders for items that need customization. This includes art prints as those are printed at the time they are ordered. I welcome you to continue to send your special item requests and I will let you know approximately when I will be able to get them created and filled.

For more info about my condition, stay up to date on my recovery and/or to make a monetary donation please visit http://www.gofundme.com/nicolen.

Important Update | Etsy Shop Temporarily Re-opened

0

I am typing this from the comfort of my couch while doped up on Norcos and recovering from my recent procedure. What was suppose to be outpatient landed me in the hospital for 5 days. I just got home yesterday.  My Etsy shop has been on vacation mode as I was not able to fulfill any orders. I have temporarily re-opened it. It will be open from now until the end of this month. It will close again in the evening of July 31st as I will be going back to the hospital to have surgery in the morning of August 1st. Items that are already made and are ready to ship are available for purchase and will be shipped out before I am down for the count. My husband will be helping me with anything I need to assure your items get out to you.

Custom/made to order creations will be put on hold until I am fully recovered from surgery. You can still order them right now but keep in mind that they take time to make and they won’t be started until I can physically make them.

For anyone that orders anything during this time I will keep you posted on the status of things so you are not left in the dark (although it is really nice here he he)!

If you have had your eye on something in my shop now would be a wonderful time to take the plunge and order it! I was caught up on medical expenses until now. They are stacking up fast and while I am down I can’t work. The orders that come through my Etsy Shop will help us out tremendously.

For those who would like to stay up to date on how I am doing, my condition or would like to help you can visit my GoFundMe page. Please share it! I would greatly appreciate it.

Stay Spooky!
