Unruly Art Market May 31 at Crow and Calico will Feature Artist Living Dead Girl Nicole and More!

0

Well, the cat’s out of the bag, and in a way, so am I.

As many of you know, about six years ago I went into a bit of a vendor hibernation. I started selling my artwork on consignment with Closet Collectibles, and it has been much easier to balance my time and energy by focusing on my in store display. That way, my collectors can browse and purchase my pre-made pieces at anytime.

In other words, I usually turn down vending events. But this one is different.

My incredibly talented and supportive friend, April Adams, is putting together a special event to give back to her network of artist friends by creating a space for them to be seen, supported, and celebrated. She is bringing together a community of amazing creatives and giving them more exposure and opportunity to share their creations. Since I am not currently working, the timing felt aligned, and honestly, it felt like a calling to show up, support her vision, and stand alongside her and other local artists.

So with that being said, I am officially dusting off my vendor booth gear for this event and it would mean the world to me if my art collectors would come out and be a part of it. It will be a fun opportunity to purchase art from real human artists (no AI here), jam out to live local music, stuff your face on delicious grub from local food trucks, sip a drink or two at the hosts’ tavern, meet some adorable goats on the farm, and even get your own creative energy flowing with a live paint and sip. And it gets better… its FREE to attend!

New Cabinets of Curiosities Display at Closet Collectibles

3

πŸ“£ Attention Art Collectors! My artwork has moved to a new area of Closet Collectibles. You will now find my creations in the Cabinets of Curiosities, taking center stage as the main focal point of their brand new horror themed room!

Rearranging of the store now allows collectors to easily find all the spooky, strange and unusual items they love but all in one area of the store! Including items from Trick or Treat Studios, NECA, and more!

This weekend’s art drop included the following:
πŸ”ͺ❀️ (1) Eat Your Heart Out 4″x 6″ Giclee Print in Snow Globe Frame
πŸ“– ⚰️ (1) Deadtime Stories 8″x 10″ Canvas Print
🌈 πŸ’š (1) Reflections In Green 8″x 8″ Canvas Print
πŸ¦‹ πŸ’€ (1) Limited Edition Citrine Skullerfly Crystal Ornamental Wreath
πŸ–¨ πŸ–Ό Restock of previously sold out Giclee Prints
🀳 πŸ’• Promo cards for my new Support, Snap, Share, Submit & Score deal

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the Eat Your Heart Out snow globe framed print before I dropped it off. When you shake it, red hearts and glitter magically appear, then settle at the bottom until the next time you give it another shake. It’s the perfect gift for any Tiffany Valentine – Jennifer Tilly fan who has everything and is looking for something more unique than what’s overly manufactured and mainstream.

Be sure to go check everything out and don’t forget to tell them Living Dead Girl Nicole sent ya!

New Limited Edition Pet Rockster and Zombie Decor Now At Closet Collectibles!

Over the weekend the hubby and I did an art drop at Closet Collectibles which included a new fuchsia purple Pet Rockster for those who love my whimsical creations and a Limited Edition Zombie Light Switch Cover for those who prefer the macabre side of my creations.

Here are some photos I took of each item before dropping them off at the store.

As you know, no two items I handcraft are ever the same. So once they are gone they are gone, making them that much more fun to get your hands on. So if you love these new items, you can support me as an artist by purchasing them online in my Etsy Shop or by visiting Closet Collectibles (Crete, Illinois location) to see them in person and get them at my discounted* in-store prices.

If you are new to my blog and ended up here due to your love of Monsters and Zombies be sure to also visit the Adopt The Undead & Moffins and Rocksters pages of my portfolio website to see more of my past creations.

I wanted to add that this weekend I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I sold my first canvas print to a Closet Collectibles shopper. This was just the win I needed to keep me motivated and the sign I needed to keep pushing through. Since being laid off I have been focusing a lot of my energy on new ways for my art collectors to enjoy my work and these canvas prints were a big part of kicking that off for me. So needless to say I am truly grateful someone saw one in person and decided to bring it home with them.

With that being said I wanted to get some feedback from everyone as to how you would like to see me restock canvas prints at Closet Collectibles. As you all know, whenever any 8.5″ x 11″ giclee print of mine sells out there, I always restock it to make it available to other shoppers. However canvas prints are more pricey, take a little longer turnaround time, and require more space. This means I can only have so many on display at one given time. Right now I am leaning more towards replacing a sold out canvas print with an entirely different piece to help rotate and keep things new and exciting, but I would love to get your feedback in the poll below.

Canvas and Snow Globe Prints Now Available at Closet Collectibles

1

I made another art drop and restock at Closet Collectibles this weekend. As always, I restocked sold out prints and rearranged things in my display case due to items that have sold out πŸ™.

I added 8 of my new canvas prints as well as a fun new snow globe framed print of my “What Nightmares Are Made Of” charcoal and pencil drawing of Tim Burton and Jack Skellington.

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the snow globe framed print before I dropped it off. When you shake it, fake snow and iridescent glitter magically appear, then settle at the bottom until the next time you give it another shake. It’s the perfect gift for any Tim Burton fan who has everything and is looking for something more unique than what’s overly manufactured and mainstream

Some of you may recognize this art piece as the original was selected and has been on display at Beetle House LA in California since they opened in 2017.

As you may have read in my previous post, I am currently laid off and could really use the extra support right now. So PLEASE…

  • Share this post and my portfolio website to help spread the word about my work
  • Send folks to Closet Collectibles to stock up my art at discounted* in-store prices
  • Support me as an artist by shopping and sharing my Etsy Shop
  • Contact me to check my availability for custom orders and how I can bring your visions to life
