This time I handcrafted two very special Monsterpieces in 8″ x 10″ canvas size just in time for spooky season. These limited edition Alter Ego Monstrosities are not just larger than my Minis, but they are also a representation of me as the artist. Creating these also allowed me to truly express “myself”… literally. They’re part creepy, part candy-colored, and 100% me. One representing my dark, vampy, mysterious side 🖤 and one for my colorful, eccentric, and whimsical side 💖
Each one is made from a pre-wrapped (on wood) 8″ x 10″ canvas that I then transformed into a three-dimensional monster with colorful hypnotic eyes, wild faux hair, bumpy moles, natural shell bead fang(s), and glittery horns. Just like me, these beasts don’t blend in. Instead, they are meant to hang proudly on your walls, bringing their unapologetically bold, whimsical energy to whatever room they adorn. 👹
I mean, just look at them. Would they not look perfect hanging on each side of Wednesday and Enid‘s whimsical goth dorm room in Ophelia Hall?

These new Monstrosities have been in the works for months, but between job hunting I wanted to wait until custom orders were completed and shipped, prep season was over for Flashback Weekend, the Yorkiethon 9 auction was a success, my 80s Sticker packs were released, my Freaky Fanatic submissions got their moment in the spotlight, and my latest portraits were completed before I did the big reveal. This weekend I did my art drop off at Closet Collectibles in Crete IL!
Betty my 50’s inspired undead doll and my Walk On The Wild Side portrait giclee print made their debut as well as another exclusive item I made just for their shoppers!
Exclusive as in this is another item that will not be available to purchase online but will only be available to buy in person at their store! A great way to get something unique, while shopping small, local and supporting an artist all at the same time.
This exclusive item is my Caged Cannibal Scary Fairies! They come freshly fed and ready for their new caretaker and can be hung up for display! A mix of my love for whimsy and horror all rolled into one creepy magical creation! You can see more photos on the Remains page of my portfolio website as well as a little video on Youtube.
While I was there I also re-stocked my sold out giclee art prints of my Spitting Image portraits and added some new one of a kind Dead Girl Decay barrettes to replace others that have sold and am already in the works of masterminding some more!
My husband Frank also shopped their wide range of horror figurines while I did my drop off. He picked up a They Live Rody Piper figure and the Flasher Gremlin figure we have been wanting to add to our collection.
In other words don’t waste your time at places like Spirit Halloween or big box stores for horror decor this spooky season. I for one witnessed Spirit Halloween’s selection and call it “same shit, different year”. Closet Collectibles offers way more unique items and supports their local artists!
