Help Support The Out Of The Darkness Walk

As you all know I am all about supporting good causes and this one is very special to a lot of people I care about. My goddess daughter (aka goddaughter) Ava is taking part in the Out of The Darkness Walk this fall in memory of her big sister Mia who recently passed away. I am reaching out to my Freaky Fanatics because I know this will help her find some closure by doing this in her sister’s memory. Back Bone: Team Rosie Update!

I took this photo last year at my Uncle Randy’s birthday dinner. Little did we know it would be the last time we would all be together to celebrate with him. As you can see Rosie is front and center and he is smirking at her as my Aunt Mary holds up the cake as we all sang Happy Birthday to him. She always had a way to make him smile. 

I share this photo with all of you because this Friday would’ve been Uncle Randy’s birthday and ironically enough we have moved into the 1st place spot for the most money raised! What a wonderfully timed milestone. This is all due to your support, shares, and donations!  He would be so happy and proud of what we have accomplished so far and would be rooting for us to keep going until we reach our team goal!

I have donated a Penny Furter, Tim Curry split face portrait print to help raise money for mental illness awareness. Back Bone: Re-Animate The Horror Corner

As you all know I had my own GoFundMe set up a few years ago when I was going through a major health crisis. If it weren’t for the generosity of others, I don’t know how my husband and I would have gotten through things both financially and mentally.  I start my post off like this because I have been there and I know how hard it is to ask for help in a time of need. Which is why I am always trying to find ways to use my art to give back.  That is why when I was recently contacted by my friend Stephanie over at Morbidly Beautiful about a benefit raffle to help a fellow horror artist who was badly burned and lost everything in a fire, I immediately jumped on board.

If you are not aware, and surprisingly as it may sound, the horror community is one of the most kind and generous communities you can be a part of. That is why I was not surprised when I heard I was 1 of 70 shops who have donated their handmade creations to help raise money to “Re-Animate The Horror Corner“! Stephanie and I both decided that my Yours Cruelly Elvira/Cassandra Peterson portrait was ideal for any horror fan and a print of that piece will be going to one of the lucky winners.

If you love horror this is the raffle for you.
