You’ll Be Hooked On My Latest Moffin Creation

What the world needs now is more Moffins! Not only do they bring joy to those who adopt them, but they are also one of my favorite things to make. I just love the way their little personalities begin to shine through during the creative process, making them that much more unique and one of a kind. So needless to say, this whimsical goth has transformed yet another coffin-shaped treasure into a new monstrous friend for someone to adopt, but I can’t tell you how tempted I have been to keep this cutie for myself.

For this Moffin, I treasure-hunted a brand new coffin-shaped wall hook and transformed it into a slimy but sparkly, unicorn-horned monster who can’t wait to magically protect your keys, jewelry, your glasses, hand towels, or anything lightweight.

This creation measures 6″ from its base to the top of its bright blue head and is 3″ at the widest part of its face. It has magenta and bright blue eyes and a hand-sculpted unicorn horn with matching magenta and lavender faux fur hair. Like my other Moffins, it has “slimy” skin, but this special guy also has a touch of sparkle! I mean, look at him. He was born to sparkle! On the bottom is a black metal hook to hang your treasures.

There is only one of these pre-made making it a unique piece of handmade art that you and only you can display in your home. It is currently listed for sale in my Etsy shop and will soon be available to see in person and purchase at Closet Collectibles in Crete, IL for a discounted rate*.

Get Organized With My Latest Moffin Creation

I just can’t get enough of making my Moffins! They bring me so much joy during the creation process by allowing me to mix my love of big eyed, furry, adorable monsters with my appreciation for the spooky and macabre. So needless to say this whimsical goth has been treasure hunting and on the look out for more things to transform into these monstrous fun creations.

For my latest, I treasure hunted a coffin shaped makeup palette organizer/stand. It was cute the way it was, brand new even but I had other plans for it the minute I laid eyes on it. Since picking it up the creative bug has been biting at me so I took some time over the past few weeks and transformed it into a Moffin that can’t wait to protect your trinkets, jewelry or anything you want to hang on his 2″ pegs.

This creation measures 8″ from it’s base to to the top of his slimy purple coffin head with blue eyes and furry blue hair extending. It is on a 5″ x 3.5″ stand. There is only one of these pre-made making it a unique piece of handmade art that you can own and no one else will have.

Limited Edition Moffin Batch 2 Stash Boxes Are Here!

Since a majority of my Limited Edition Moffins (from Batch 1) are busy protecting my client’s stash in their new, forever homes, I knew it was time for a new batch of Moffins to be born. I have been working hard over the last few months to make this new batch unique and have incorporated sculpture, more realistic teeth, monster eyes and a new “slimey” protective lacquer.

Available in earthy greens, firey reds, and watery blues, I present Batch 2 of my Limited Edition Moffin Stash Boxes…..

Seeing the eyes are the windows to the soul, I decided to use the colors of the monster’s eyes for inspiration for the color scheme for each Moffin’s coffin box body and hair. Just like the 1st batch, these are limited edition, which means you will own a unique piece of handmade art that no one else will ever have. There are currently only 1 of each (as pictured above) that are pre-made, listed in my Etsy shop and ready to protect your stash. Find Your Zen with Amazonite Skullerfly Creation by Living Dead Girl Nicole

Being a tortured artist, and knowing what its like to suffer from such things as anxiety and over stimulation from being highly sensitive, I was inspired to add another Limited Edition Spiritual Skullerfly Crystal Wreath to my Spellbinding Collection. Clients have already told me how much they love the ones I have made so far so I decided I want to continue bringing a little magic to all of your worlds through my creations.

This time I was inspired by one of my favorite calming stones… Amazonite which is known to help heal and balance both the throat and heart chakras. What I love about this stone is that you can literally find zen just getting lost in the soothing shades of pastel greens, blues and even sometime browns that this stone naturally gifts to us.

When I first decided to make this it was important to me to bring the feeling of the stone to life through all the other accents. This also meant it would take me a little longer to research and find the perfect materials. Thanks to my Mother In Law, Judy (who always believes in my work and is always on the look out for things for me) combined with some great finds from some wonderful small business craft suppliers I was able to bring my vision to life.

The Skullerfly’s wings, body and eyes as well as the twigs (from nature) have all been touched with blue-green iridescent glitter for that whimsical sparkle I love so much. Hanging from it are the Amazonite rosary crystals as well as a clear crystal point. Handcrafted with loving intentions, this piece has been blessed with incense and charged by the Flower Full Moon.

If this special piece speaks to you it can be purchased in my Etsy Shop. It is perfect for hanging anywhere you want to feel a sense of calm and zen! The colors also make a beautiful accent for you mermaid and water signs who love ocean and sea decor.
