Spitting Image: “Invite Me In”

My latest creation is a Spitting Image portrait I call “Invite Me In”. It is inspired by the scene in True Blood where Jessica Hambry “trick or treats” her way over to Jason’s house dressed as Red Riding Hood. In this scene you finally realize that even though she still has an innocence about her she isn’t the same baby vamp she was when she first hit our TV screens.
I used a combination of photo shoot photos of Deborah Ann Woll as well as screen shots from this particular scene to draw off of. I also found her “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf” Vlog to be incredibly fun to watch and use for inspiration. This is the the end result that I hope to give to Deborah at Comicon. Which will make her the 3rd of the cast that I have had the honor to meet and give my work to (Pam/Kristin Bauer and Russel/Denis O’Hare being the other 2)

Spitting Image: Bloody BINGO!
3So here it is my birthday and I am trying to come up with a creative way to gift my Genesis 4:7 portrait to Henry Rollins tonight.
My brother Mike said “Don’t look for one at the store. Make something. Make it about the movie!”
My husband Frank said “What if you incorporate the BINGO part of the movie and portrait”
Thanks to them, a few BINGO cards, some red paint, glue, Modge Podge, tape and a black gift bag I now have the perfect way to gift it to him!
I keep referring to it as the Bloody BINGO bag ha ha ha. For those that don’t know 2-13-61 is not only Rollins’ birthday but also a trademark of sorts for him as well.
Tonight is going to be EPIC!

Spitting Image: Please Vote for my Portrait at Creative Allies!
0Garbage is doing a 20 Years Queer Tour art contest. My portrait that I just completed was perfect for this contest however it did not fit the size requirements. Well I wasn’t about to not enter (especially after the killer show we experienced Saturday). So I did a cropped/edited version of the portrait just for the contest.
The deadline to enter was yesterday and my entry just posted today due to the site having technical difficulties. I am already way behind as far as getting my entry exposure for votes.
