So this is my last post of the night. I told you the weekend was eventful ha ha. The best for last of course is Halloween day! Not only our favorite holiday but also our wedding anniversary. So of course we took the day off of work to celebrate.
Started off the day by heading over to my brother’s house and adding our decorations to his already awesome yard. This of course included Frankenhearse ๐ which he wanted to be parked right in the middle of all the action.

You can kindof see Elsa there in the driver seat of Frankenhearse. She made her debut yesterday and was a big hit. Her main man Frankenstein was chillin in the back like he usually does. This time complete with strobe lights and smoke machines.
After getting the yard ready we headed back home so I could get myself ready. I had a wig to style and a whole face of makeup to do on myself. Goal = Lady Captain Spaulding! I had planned out this costume before all the stupid fear of clown crap started this year and I was not about to back out because people are idiots . Not only cause when I want to do something I do it, but because I love Sid and have always wanted to do this costume as a fun tribute to him. This was the year ….and I was not backing out.
I have to admit (pats self on back) that it came out exactly how I wanted it to. I also had a blast taking selfies in my best Sid expression to show people how the makeup came out…….
I had some added special items in my costume which included my Top Secret Clown Business button and Hot Dog Asshole shirt from Sid. It really made the costume complete as if Spaulding himselfย helped put it together and was with me rockin’ it!
As soon as we got back to my brother’s house I had to take a photo with Frankenhearse whileย showing off my entire costume. Frank came up with a great idea to take the photo next toย my website decal that is on the back window. Genius!

After our Halloween wedding in 2009, we donated our gothic wedding arch to my brother’s Halloween stash. He always does a cool cemetery scene and I knew it would make for an awesome gate. With living in a town home we don’t have much for a yard to decorate or a lot of storage space and I wanted it to go somewhere special. Since giving it to my brother we started a tradition. Every year Frank and Iย stand under or in front of it and my brother snaps a photo of us. This is our 7 year wedding arch photo…………

As you can see Frank dressed up as well and his goal was to find a bizarre scary mask and bust out the chainsaw to scare everyone. He got one for my brother too. A lot of people made reference to the pig faces reminding them of the new season of American Horror Story. Frankย wasn’t even going for thatย when he bought them but loved the added fact that it made people freak out even more ha ha.
As it got darker out the yard looked even more amazing. Between the lights in the yard, the smoke machines, the lights in and out of Frankenhearse etc. cars were constantly stopping by to see everything.

Last but not least this is a photo that ended up happening because my brother had fried chicken in his fridge and we could not resist it ha ha.
We call it “EAT MORE CHICKEN!” ha ha ha ha

I hope everyone else had a fun and memorable Halloween! See more of my makeup art on the Skinned page of my website!
Stay Spooky!

When I was 7 years old Beetlejuice came out and it instantly drew me in. I remember some kids being scared of Beetlejuice. I was one of those kids yelling his name hoping he would make an appearance. Envious ofย how cool it would be to live in Lydia Deetz’s shoes. I guess you can say I still admire her. I have her tattoo’d on my arm. My dad even walked me down the aisle to the Beetlejuice intro music because not only did my Dad introduce me to the movie but my husband and I bonded over it when we first started dating (he now has the rest of the cast tattoo’d on his arm). It was a very important part of our ceremony and so symbolic. Who better then Danny Elfman to set the mood for our Halloween Masquerade reception.
