Yorkiethon 9 Winner Adds Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Art To ArieScope Display

1

As artists, we often wonder where our creations end up after we part with them, whether they find the right hands and if they’re truly appreciated by those who receive them.

Recently, Stephen, the winner of my Yorkiethon 9 charity auction donation, sent me photos of the “Daddyautographed canvas print now on display in his home. Seeing it as part of his Adam Green and Joe Lynch collection and display, I can honestly say it feels like the universe aligned perfectly. This special piece of artwork clearly ended up exactly where it was meant to be and I couldn’t be happier.

Massive thanks to Stephen for being so ghoul, sharing these killer photos of his home display, and supporting both our horror community and The Movie Crypt’s mission to help rescue Arwen’s furry friends. This charity auction raised over $42,000 for Save A Yorkie Rescue, breaking records from previous years, and I’m so honored that my artwork was part of it.

If you’re new here, be sure to check out the slideshow on my Freaky Fanatics page featuring Stephen’s photos and my other happy art collectors. While you are there, be sure to browse over to my Backbones page to discover other fun ways I’ve used my artwork to support amazing causes.

The Mini Creep Gets Wise, Brave, and Tricky with Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Coraline Art

0

You may recall a little fiend (aka friend) I made at Flashback Weekend in 2021. It was the first time since the pandemic that we were finally able to go to a horror con again and she had the right idea on masking up.. as Sam from Trick ‘r Treat! She asked to take a photo with our Stripe gremlin and I myself just had to get a pic with her and her amazing cosplay.

Since then, Raven aka The Mini Creep has become a part of my horror community fam and I have stayed in contact with her and her Mom ever since. They are the ones I give credit to for getting to spend our anniversary getaway dinner at Famous Monsters Pizza. They have also given me lots of other travel advice including tips for when I finally get to take my dream trip to Salem, MA.

I have had the joy of buying some of the items she has put up for sale and supporting her fundraising efforts so she can continue doing what she loves…. going to cons, cosplaying her heart out, and meeting her fave icons and people (like myself) that love the genre. Something I would’ve loved to have done when I was her age if stuff like this has existed back then. Another thing I love about Raven is not only does she rock her cosplay to the fullest, she actually helps her Mom make the costumes. I have even had the honor of seeing sneak peek photos that she sends to me during their creation process. She has entered many costume contests at these cons and she impresses the judges with her abilities to act the characters out on stage. Not surprising though, as this little one is also a scream queen herself and has already landed a few acting gigs along the way.

As a thank you for my support she painted me a small painting which she sent to me with some other goodies, including her Pennywise cosplay logo sticker which is seen here displayed on my art drawing board. I just adore that she chose to use my fave galaxy colors for the painting she made me. They definitely scream “Nicole” and it is now displayed in my art space room.

So now that you know about The Mini Creep, here is where the Freaky Fanatic part comes in. She recently sent me this adorable photo of herself proudly displaying her print of my  “Be Wise. Be Brave. Be Tricky.” painting of Coraline and I just had to share it (with her Mom’s permission of corpse) ….

Thank you for being so ghoul Raven and sending me this awesome photo! Keep doing what you love!

Want to see more photos of my Freaky Fanatics (aka happy customers) then be sure to stop by my official art portfolio website where you will see Raven along with all the others in my slideshows! It may just inspire you to buy something from my Etsy shop or display case at Closet Collectibles and become a Freaky Fanatic yourself!

Cotton Candy Cocoons Make Heathers Holiday Out Of This World

0

The overwhelming response I have been receiving on my Cotton Candy Cocoon Ornaments has been “out of this world” (pun intended). Not only did the ones I pre-made sell out very quickly but my listing for them on Etsy was being favorited so much I decided to set up a custom made-to-order listing for anyone interested in having one made. This of corpse has resulted in me getting to make more of them, but one order stood our from the rest.

When the order came through my Etsy shop I found out it was going to be a gift for my dear and close friend Heather and I had the hardest time keeping it from her. On top of it I was quite honored just knowing that something I made was on her (always well thought out) Christmas wish list and even more so that her in-laws chose it off her list to purchase it for her.

When she opened the gift during the holidays she immediately texted me and we got a good laugh out of it. The best part though was when she followed it up with this beautiful photo of herself proudly holding it up to show me how happy she was to receive it.

On top of all of it she shared the following feedback about the ornament that truly lifted my spirits.

“Nicole designed these creative, and incredible interpretations of the cotton candy cocoons, I knew I needed one! I put one on my holiday list, and crossed my fingers, since she only made two of them. I was very excited when I opened the box and saw it in there! Honestly, I’m surprised she kept it a secret this long. Ha! If you’re a fan of the movie, I recommend ordering one. They’re well made, and super cute. It was a hit when I opened it at my family party.”

Did you also receive one of my handmade Cotton Candy Cocoon ornament for the holidays? Or maybe you bought one for yourself or someone else? I would love to see and feature your photos here as well as on the Freaky Fanatics slideshow of my portfolio website! Contact me via my website or a DM on Etsy!

Thomas Adds Living Dead Girl Nicole’s Art To Ginger Snaps Display

4

My heart skipped a little beat when I checked my Etsy shop today. I found not only another 5 star review, but an awesome photo, and some uplifting feedback from one of my newest customers.

Thomas had purchased a print of my “Out By 16 Or Dead On This Scene” portrait of Katharine Isabelle and this is what he had to say about it…..

“🀘I HAD to attach a pic to the review cause your art is incredible. Great jobπŸ‘πŸ‘ I absolutely love it!”

Talk about incredible, check out his Ginger Snaps display that my artwork now gets to be a part of….

Ginger Snaps being one of my favorite horror movies and Katharine being one my favorite actresses, I was a bit over the moon (pun intended πŸΊπŸŒ•) to see yet another Ginger Snaps fan appreciating my artwork in their home.

As with all of my happy client photos, you can also see Thomas’ photo submission on the Freaky Fanatic slideshow of my official portfolio website and if you would like to be featured next contact me on my website or direct message me on Etsy for more info on how to submit photos of you rocking or displaying my creations.

If you landed here on my blog because you also love Ginger Snaps, be sure to get your own “Out By 16 Or Dead On This Scene” prints and “wearable art” t-shirts by shopping my work here.
