Vote For My Dare Fashion Strange & Unusual Costume Entry!

0

I don’t have Facebook but I hope my Freaky Fanatics do! I just entered the Dare Fashion costume contest and need your votes to help persuade the judges to chooseΒ my submission.

In celebration of Halloween, the folks at Dare Fashion asked their customers to enter by taking one of their favorite Dare Fashion tops and transforming it into a costume. I have a few but decided to go with my favorite which is the Electra Top that makes me feel like a curvy gothic goddess. I call my entry “I Myself Am Strange and Unusual” and of course it’s inspired by the queen of teen gothic goddesses…Lydia Deetz of Beetlejuice.

So now I need your votes to show the judges that they should pick me as the winner! All you have to do is go to theΒ direct link to my entry and click the vote button next to my photo. Super easy! When you are done, please share the link or this post to help spread the word.

Freaky Fanatics: Emily and Gabby!

0

Been having a rough couple of weeks with our cat Ichabod being sick and these 2 Freaky Fanatic photo submissions helped brighten up my days!

Jem Pizzazz Cornhole Bags Living Dead Girl Nicole

First is from Emily who commissioned me to make her a poster sized version of my “It’s Showtime Synergy” painting. It came out to be 48″ x 36″ which is the largest print I have done so far of my work. When she contacted me to make the poster she had a vision in mind. She wanted to make “corn hole” bean bag game boards. Jem vs Pizzazz. When she finished them she sent me a photo. She said her and her friends love them. So do I . How cool are these!!?? I want to play!! A shout out to MinuteMan Press in Frankfort for doing an incredible job printing this for me!

Maggie Tim Curry Pennywise Furter Living Dead Girl Nicole Print

Next up is a photo I received from my customer Cristie who purchased one of my “Penny Furter” prints for her daughter. Along with the photo came this message…

“This is a picture of my 13 year old daughter, Gabby, with her Penny Furter picture. She is a fan of both movies and Tim Curry, so this is perfect! We framed it and she has it hanging in her room above her bed. Thank you so much! She loves it!”

I am truly honored. Not only was the piece purchased to give as a special gift but the recipient loves it so much she has it proudly displayed above her bed. Thank you Cristie and Gabby. You ladies rock!

See these photos along with my other Freaky Fanatics on my official portfolio website! And don’t forget to send in your photos so you can be featured as a Freaky Fanatic as well! Every time I receive one it inspires me to create even more! So please keep em coming and I promise to keep creating!

Eleven Stranger Things Season 1I have been wanting to do a portrait of Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven ever since the 1st season of Stranger Things came out. I was completely in awe of her character as well as her mad acting skills. Not to mention who wouldn’t want to draw that beautiful face of hers.

I wasn’t sure how I wanted to do it but I knew I didn’t want to just replicate a still from the show. I wanted my piece to be unique among all the ones I have seen others do so I waited for that creative spark to hit me. Well while binge watching Season 2 my mine went zap! I knew I wanted to do a split face portrait and I wanted to showcase
Eleven’s fun makeovers from both seasons. Her “pretty” makeover from Season 1 and her “bitchin'” makeover from Season 2.

I am excited to announce that I finally finished it between other projects and filling holiday orders. I call this piece “Pretty Bitchin'” which I get a kick out of every time I say it…………

Days Of The Dead Indy 2017 (2)

As you may recall (from my Days of The Dead Indy Recap) this Summer we finally got to me Felissa Rose who played Angela Baker in Sleepaway Camp. For those who are not familiar, it is an iconic 80’s Slasher Film and Angela herself is the reason it is so iconic. To learn more you have to watch it. Trust me no spoilers here. Go watch it.

Felissa is one of the sweetest scream queens we have had the honor of meeting at a con. If you are a fan of her and then meet her you love her that much more.Β Β Which is why she inspired my latest portrait. I call it “Happy Camper” and it’s a split face portrait of Felissa Rose/Angela Baker. Complete with Camp Arawak blue pastel background. Lucky for me I will see her next weekend and look forward to giving her the original.

Happy Camper With Logo Resized

For all you 80’s slasher film junkies….you can get this now as prints and t-shirts in both my Etsy and Amazon shops!Β  To see more of portrait work visit the Spitting Image page of my portfolio site!
