Creature Feature: VOTED BEST HORROR SHOP!

Wow guys! I am a hot mess of emotions right now. But it’s all in a good way! Morbidly Beautiful Horror announced the winner of their “Who Do You Love – Best Horror Shop Contest” and it’s ME!

That’s right you guys nominated and voted me as the Best Horror Shop and I am honored, shocked, grateful, ecstatic…. in awe! My Freaky Fanatics are truly the best group of clients, followers, friends and family a living dead girl could ask for.

And to top it off look at the way they announced me as the winner. I mean my creepy little heart couldn’t help but skip a beat.

Seriously guys thank you so much! I am giddy and speechless at the same time as I type this. All I want to do is type thank you over and over again. This really means so much to me and I could not have won without your support. The competition was fierce and all the shops that were in the finals are killer (like I said before, I even own a few items from a few of their shops). Not to mention all the amazing horror themed shops that are out there.

Don’t forget to reap in the rewards of this as well. As you see from their post, Morbidly Beautiful Horror will be announcing later today an item in my shop that they plan to purchase and give away to one lucky winner! And since I will be shipping out the prize expect some extra surprises added into the package!!!

Creature Feature: Who Do You Love Horror Shop Contest Update

As of yesterday Morbidly Beautiful Horror announced that voting was closed and that I am still one of the top 5 shops to receive the most votes in their Who Do You Love Horror Shop contest. The other 4 shops are incredible and to be side by side with them is a huge honor. The winner will be announced on Friday so stay tuned!

I want to take this time to thank all of my Freaky Fanatics who either took a minute of their time to vote on Instagram or if you don’t have Instagram shared the link with others to get more votes. I know your time is precious and I want you to know that the time you took to show others you support my work means everything to me. You never know what could open bigger doors for me from things like this and to be nominated in general by you guys is an honor in itself. I could not do what I do or be where I am today with my art if it was not for all of your support.

Thank you for showing the world the potential one girl can have. As an artist who hand makes everything herself it really is hard to compete with commercialized and big names but you guys continue to inspire me. I love you all!

And a big congrats to the other shops in the finals! I love all of your work and even own a few things from a couple of these shops. So when your not visiting mine please take some time to visit them as well.

Tell Morbidly Beautiful Horror How Much You Love Me!

Morbidly Beautiful Horror has announced that my Etsy Shop is in the finals for their #whodoyoulove best horror shop Instagram contest. I am up against some pretty big and popular shops (some I even own shirts from) but I am the only one who does handmade art so I hope it counts for something. I also think my work fits the name of their site quite well too.

You can vote 2 ways and both count. So please try to do both if you can!

1.) Go to any of the Morbidly Beautiful Horror contest posts at https://www.instagram.com/morbidlybeautifulhorror/ and comment saying @exorcist167x has your vote for the best horror shop and state what it is you love most about my work.

2.) Go to my Etsy shop and snap a photo with your phone of the creepy creation or art listed for sale that you love the most. Or take a photo of something I have made for you. Post a photo of it on Instagram with a caption tagging @morbidlybeautifulhorror telling  your vote is for my shop and why. Back Bone: Win Monstrous Prizes + Support Scares That Care

I am so happy to announce that I have teamed up with one of the most amazing foundations……… Scares That Care!

Scares That Care is an approved 501(c)(3) who fights the REAL MONSTERS of childhood illness, burns and breast cancer by helping families that are experiencing these extraordinary hardships cope with the financial burden. Our non-profit organization provides money, toys and other items to help sick children. We have two other programs consisting of “Scares For Pairs,” where we help women fighting breast cancer and partnered with horror icon Kane Hodder for the “I Helped Kane” program, where we provide assistance to those children who have suffered serious burn injuries.We are a 100% VOLUNTEER organization in order to maximize our supporters donations to those who need it!

I have donated a $25 Gift Certificate for my Etsy Shop as a raffle prize for their March $5 donation day!  Besides my gift certificate there are lots of other monstrous themed prizes being added! For every $5.00 donated, a number will be assigned. $5.00 would equal one number, $15.00 would equal three numbers, $25.00 would equal five numbers, and so on. At the end of the donation drive, they will select random numbers and contact those people to pick their prize!


As someone who has had to start a GoFundMe for help during my own medical crisis and someone who has grown up watching their mother lose their battle to breast cancer, I personally feel a strong connection with this foundation and everything they stand for. Not to mention the theme of their foundation is a perfect match for someone like me to team up with. I mean come on… look at that logo!

It could not come at a better time either. I have actually been in talks with the foundation since earlier this month. I just turned 35 last Friday. The same age my Mom was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It has made this birthday a difficult one that I actually was not looking forward to. Most people are not anticipating their birthdays because it makes them feel older. This birthday is a harsh reminder of just how young my Mom was and how short of a life she was given. It may not come off that way with all my fun “I met Henry Rollins Birthday posts“, however mentally it is something I have been thinking about constantly over the past year. A countdown of sorts to things becoming more real. Thankfully my husband was able to give my brother and myself a memorable moment we are able to look back on together. I also still think the way it all fell into place for us was my Mom’s doing somehow. Up there pulling strings.

With us no longer struggling with medical expenses, it feels only right to help give back to others that still are. It’s funny how things work out too. My donation worked out to be a better fit for their March donation day instead of February. It just so happens to fall 2 days after the anniversary of my Mom’s passing. So as I do this to help others, I do it in her memory as well.

So I ask of you.. please spread the word about this special event taking place on March 18th. Anyone can participate too! That helps more then you know!
